Upper secondary education plays a crucial role in equipping the youth with the appropriate skills, competencies, and knowledge for them to benefit from and contribute to the country’s economic and social development. The proposed Second Upper Secondary Education Sector Development Program (USESDP 2) is Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) response to the government’s vision of developing high quality human resources to sustain Cambodia’s economic development and enhance its competitiveness. USESDP 2 will assist the government in implementing the program nationwide, particularly initiating policy reforms in the education sector, with major focus on USE, and in achieving three program outputs:
- improved quality of teachers in upper secondary schools;
- improved quality and labor market relevance of upper secondary education;
- strengthened institutional capacity for planning, management, and delivery of education.
